Yup! I’ve FINALLY completed my Halloween Candy Corn Scarf crochet pattern!!! It’s a PDF file, around 815 KB because of the photo added to the pattern. Do excuse the bullet points. Upon conversion of the file, they magically appeared! Give it a try, and please leave some feedback below! 😉 I’d love to hear from you all.
Upon going out with the kiddos, Ray and I like to keep all of their belongings in one bag, along with their snacks and drinks. Being as hot as it is here in Florida, you can only imagine how quickly an ice, cold beverage condensates! Needless to say, the kid’s drinks always, ALWAYS condensate. Thus, getting their extra clothes damp (Yes, I suppose I should move the drinks, but who wants to hold them, or carry a separate bag?! Not I!).
If only I had thought of this pattern sooner!
It took me about an hour to think it through and create my prototype. Mind you, I’m not one to frequently create crochet patterns. Amazingly, I have to say that the first one didn’t turn out bad at all. Anxious to see if my creation worked, I quickly slipped it onto one of the sippy cups, and viola! The 100% acrylic yarn soaked up all the condensation. Of course you can always use 100% cotton yarn for optimal absorption, but all I had on hand was acrylic. No biggie.
Without further adieu, here is the ‘With You’ Koozie Crochet Pattern by Debra Lee:
Please leave feedback regarding this pattern. I’d love to hear from you all! Let me know if the pattern makes sense and if it is easy to follow, has mistakes, etc. Also, let me know how your ‘With You’ Koozie keeps you condensation free. 🙂
P.S. The pattern states that Baby Sport, 3-worsted weight yarn is used. I also used 4-worsted weight and it worked just as good. It simply came out a bit thicker. Experiment with what you have. Go nuts!
